Email

RapidMart emails customers, stores, riders and admins about orders, payouts, accounts and more (see Notification emails), plus password resets, scheduled reports and website leads. Until you set up email, they’re only written to the log.

  1. Get SMTP details from your email provider (your host’s mail server, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Amazon SES, Mailgun, Brevo …): host, port, user name and password.
  2. Admin → Settings → Email delivery.
  3. Mail driver: SMTP. Enter the SMTP host, SMTP port (usually 587, or 465 for SSL), SMTP username, SMTP password and Connection security.
  4. From address and From name: what customers see, for example QuickMart and orders@yourdomain.com. Use an address on your own domain.
  5. Save, then click Send test email and check your inbox (and spam folder).

Emails go out through the queue worker, so it must be running (Server setup).

Fewer emails in spam: add your domain’s SPF and DKIM records as your email provider explains.

Alongside the app notifications, RapidMart sends these emails, each in the person’s language. People without an email address on their account are skipped.

  • Customers: welcome, order confirmation with the receipt, order delivered (receipt), cancelled or rejected, payment requests, failed deliveries, refunds, wallet credits and debits, parcels, prescriptions, consultations, lab reminders, referral rewards, coupons, disputes, support replies and account deletion.
  • Stores: welcome, new and cancelled orders, failed deliveries, payouts, refunds taken from the balance, approval or suspension, zone changes, bank details changed (a security alert), products taken off sale, reviews, prescriptions, the daily low-stock list, disputes and support.
  • Riders: welcome, approval, documents, payouts, cash settlements and being taken offline.
  • Admins: new store and rider applications, disputes, rider problem reports, reported reviews, store bank details changes and Screen Builder approvals.

Every email carries your branding: the logo from Settings → Brand & business (upload a PNG or JPG, as most email apps don’t show SVG; without one, the icon and store name are used), your app brand colour on the top edge and buttons, and your business email and phone in the footer.

Admin → Settings → Email delivery → Notification emails lists every email with a switch to turn it off and a Preview link that shows it as it will be sent.

Live updates such as “your rider is at the door” stay app notifications only: by the time an email arrived they’d be out of date.
