Run the web installer

The installer runs the first time you open your domain, after the files are uploaded (cPanel or VPS). It has five steps and takes a couple of minutes.

  1. Welcome. Open https://yourdomain.com. You’re sent to /install. Click Next step.

  2. Server requirements. The installer checks your PHP version, the PHP extensions and the compiled front-end files.

    • Everything green → Next step.
    • PHP version red → choose PHP 8.4 or 8.5 for the domain in your hosting panel.
    • An extension red → enable it in your hosting panel (cPanel → Select PHP Version → Extensions) or apt install php8.4-<name> on a VPS, then reload.
    • “Front-end assets are missing” → upload the public/build folder from the download.
  3. Folder permissions. Checks that storage/, bootstrap/cache/ and .env are writable. If one is red, set it to 775 (see Troubleshooting) and reload.

  4. Configuration. Three groups:

    GroupFieldWhat to enter
ApplicationMarketplace nameYour brand, for example QuickMart. You can change it later.
Site URLThe full address, with https:// and no trailing slash.
    DatabaseHostUsually localhost (or 127.0.0.1).
Port3306 unless your host says otherwise.
Database name / user / passwordFrom the database you created. On cPanel, include the prefix.
Administrator accountYour name, email, passwordThe account you’ll sign in to the admin with.

Click Install RapidMart. The installer tests the database connection, creates the tables and your admin account. This takes 20–60 seconds — don’t close the tab.

  5. All done. The installer confirms RapidMart is installed and links to the admin sign-in. Sign in with the email and password from step 4.

  1. Set up the scheduler and queue worker.
  2. Work through First steps to get your marketplace ready for real orders.
