Updating

Each version’s changes are in the Changelog. Read it first: it lists any extra step a version needs.

  1. Back up the database (your hosting panel’s backup, or mysqldump).
  2. Back up your files, at least .env and the storage/ folder (uploads live there).
  1. Download the new version and unzip it.
  2. Upload the new backend/ files over the old ones. Don’t overwrite .env or storage/ — they hold your settings and uploads.
  3. Run the database updates and clear the caches (SSH, or cPanel → Terminal):
    Terminal window
    php artisan migrate --force
    php artisan optimize:clear
    php artisan queue:restart
  4. Open the admin and check System health.

App updates are optional per version. When the changelog lists app changes, copy your Firebase files and your branding into the new app folders, then build and publish as usual (Mobile apps).

If you changed the app screens’ code, rebuild the Screen Builder preview too: the new backend/ replaces it with ours (Screen Builder preview).
